Learning Buddies
The Learning Buddies Program pairs former youth in care with peers or trained volunteer mentors for supportive, strengths-based learning.
Buddies meet regularly to build skills, share knowledge, and encourage each other through academic, professional, or personal development goals. The program fosters confidence, connection, and mutual growth in a safe, trauma-informed environment.

The Thread is a digital publication that weaves together lived expertise, creativity, and systems insight.
Featuring stories, artwork, research highlights, and thought leadership from former youth in care, allies, and community partners, it creates a platform for collective learning and meaningful dialogue.

The FYiC CoP Annual Awards recognize outstanding contributions from former youth in care and the allies who support them.
